Come to Decorah Public Library Thursday, Jan. 10, at 7 p.m. to hear Decorah native, chef and world traveler Jase Grimm speak about his recent experiences living and working for 12 months in Antarctica.

Grimm will share pictures and videos as well as personal experiences and various other paraphernalia relating to the year he spent at the South Pole. He will detail his entire journey: finding out about the job, the physical qualification process, travel to the continent and various adventures and day to day activities in Antarctica.

Grimm has been cooking professionally for the past five years and it's his passion for food that has taken him all over the United States -- and, most recently, to the bottom of the world.
