Kinderhaus, of Decorah, is bringing The Tom Bourcier Band to the stage Saturday, Feb. 23, for an evening of music and fun at the Steyer Opera House.
As a professional musician, Bourcier has performed throughout the United States, Europe, South America and the Caribbean, working with and backing up musicians and acts such as the Dirty Dozen Band, Dizzy Gillespie, Jim Schwall of the Siegal-Schwall Band, Buddy Rich, Donald O'Connor, comedian David Brenner, Debbie Reynolds and Jack Jones.
Proceeds from the Fundraiser will benefit Kinderhaus in the forms of scholarships and other classroom needs. Kinderhaus wishes to make attendance available and affordable for all children.
Kinderhaus is a Waldorf-inspired, outdoor preschool and kindergarten for children, ages 3-6 in Decorah, that provides the opportunity for children in our community to learn in a warm and nurturing environment.
Kinderhaus strives to develop the whole child: emotionally, socially, artistically and cognitively. Their goal is simple; to create an oasis in which children find the security and opportunity to develop into creative, imaginative, cooperative, self-motivated learners for the future.

A sample of silent auction items include leather wallets by Lisa Lantz, artwork by Megan Jackson, pottery by Allamakee Woodfire Pottery, glassware by Red Hawk Glassworks, jewelry from Bijoux Specialty Jewelry and a 60 minute massage from Eclipse Salon and Day Spa, local honey, a trolley ride from Decorah Trolley Company, one night's stay at the Berwood Hill Inn in Lanesboro, vegetable and herb seedling kits from River Root Farm, gift baskets from the Oneota Community Food Co-op, Free Reformer sessions from Discover Happy and many more auction entries.
