Luther College invites the public to celebrate the values of community and family through Kwanzaa.
The celebration includes chapel Friday, Dec. 7, at 10:30 a.m., for music and candle lighting; and Saturday, Dec. 8, in Peace Dining Room from 4-7 p.m.
Dinner is served at 5:30, and is a traditional meal of curried goat, baked and fried chicken, greens and sweet potato pie. A reception, sharing of talents, and traditional Kwanzaa events including candle lighting and gathering of the ancestors begins the seven-day celebration of Kwanzaa.
Tickets for the meal are available at the Luther College Box Office, located in the CFL. Tickets are $5 with CAF (Co-curricular Activities Fee) and $10 without.
