Four Decorah High School students will make the trip to Cedar Falls Monday, March 27, to perform at the All-State Speech Festival on the UNI campus.
These students received outstanding ballots at the Northeast District State Individual Speech contest recently hosted by Waldorf University in Forest City and will represent the Viking speech team at the premier festival, which will include performances by the best speech students from across the state.
DHS Varsity speech individuals receiving performance nominations include Emma Fretheim in literary program, Jenna Galligan in acting, Sawyer Vanden Brink in improvisation and Richard Weis in storytelling.
Decorah High School’s individual speech participants are coached by Molly Holkesvik, Carrie Kauffman, Gabe Twedt and Kristen Underwood.
