Natalino Guterres, a Luther student from East Timor, will present his "Music for Peace" project Monday, March 18, at 7 p.m. in the Public Program Room of the Decorah Public Library.

The recipient of a Davis Projects for Peace grant, Guterres directed this project in his home country in the summer of 2011. Its goal was to educate children and youth to use music and the arts to promote peace.

Gueterres worked through MAC (Movement for Adloescents and CHildren), an East Timor organization which had inspired him while growing up. Immediately before coming to Luther, he attended the United World College Red Cross in Norway for two years.

All are welcome to attend the presentation, which is sponsored by the Decorah area branch of AAUW.
