Unitarian Fellowship to honor Sue Otte
Thursday, October 11, 2012 5:21 AM
The Northeast Iowa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will honor Sue Otte Sunday, Oct. 21, for her years of extraordinary service to the group.
Everyone is welcome to attend this service of tribute and music. Ottewas a leader in founding the Fellowship and served as the first chair of the Board of Trustees. She led most of the Sunday services for years and was the ministerial outreach coordinator as well as the person who dealt with many of the administrative duties.
Because of her outstanding organizational abilities and her passion for the community, Otte was the glue that held the fellowship together in its nascence and early years. She will continue to play an active role in NEIUUF, but has "retired" from formal leadership duties.
The Oct. 21 event at Bethania Church, next to Vesterheim, begins with social time at 10 a.m. The service is at 10:30, followed by a celebration potluck.
Visitors need not bring food for the potluck.
