Cory and Brenda (Balk) Luzum were married Feb. 22 in Laramie, Wyo., at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Brenda is the daughter of Janice Balk and the late Mark Balk of Waucoma. Cory is the son of David and Colleen Luzum of Festina. The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Catherine Black-Ward.

Matron of honor was Tami Larch, sister of the bride, and best man was Lucas Treangen, friend of the groom. Bridesmaides were Katie Luzum; sister of the groom, Sheena Balk; sister-in-law of the bride and Kara Kuennen, Sara Moore, Deloris Vrzak and Kelly Kuennen, all friends of the bride.

Groomsmen were Bobby and Darin Balk, brothers of the bride; Nathan Larch, brother-in-law of the bride; and Tyler Egeland, Richard Numedahl and Jon Schrandt, all friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Bryson Balk, the bride's nephew. Ushers were Brandon Albertson, Dustin Egeland and Adam Brincks, friends of the groom.

Host and hostess were Konrad and Jeanne Verlsteffen, aunt and uncle of the bride. The personal attendant was Sydney Cray, a friend of the couple. The bride wore a soft white satin gown with a strapless, sweetheart bodice, pick-up skirt and crystal beaded sash. She was escorted by the groom's father as she carried a cascading bouquet filled with a mix of pink and purple flowers adorned with a small photograph of her father.

After the ceremony guests enjoyed dinner and dancing. The following day friends and family joined the couple at nearby Albany Lodge for an all-day snowmobiling excursion. The couple remained in Albany for their honeymoon. An Iowa reception is set for May 4, at the KC Hall in Ossian. The couple resides near Festina.
