Jillian Teslow Rickertsen and Reece Rickertsen were married July 25, 2015, at Glenwood Lutheran Church in Decorah, with Pastor Stacey Nalean-Carlson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Giles and Jill Teslow, of Decorah. The groom is the son of Jerry and Gwenn Rickertsen, of Bryant.
The bride’s attendants were Hilary Gansen (matron of honor), Emily Rickertsen, Alice Fullerton, Paige Knight, Kat Denlinger and Renee Gesch.
The groom’s attendants were Dustin Rickertsen (best man), Brandon Rickertsen (best man), Seth Streeter, Obi Ukabiala, Drew Helle and Mike Lorenzen.
Flower girl was Elizabeth Williams. Ring bearer was Bo Shamblin.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Giles Teslow.
Soloist was Kate Shamblin, accompanied on guitar by Juel Teslow. Organist was Katie Johnson.
Ushers were Jergen Teslow, John Teslow and Juel Teslow.
The bride wore Lovelle, by Lazaro, an ivory tulle ball gown with a beaded illusion bateau neckline and full tulle skirt with horsehair hem. She wore a matching two-tier veil, with horsehair hem. For jewelry, she wore gold diamond hoop earrings and a gold diamond tennis bracelet. She carried a garden flower arrangement of pinks and purples, with a blue hydrangea.
The bride’s attendants wore knee-length Infinity dresses in shades of lavender, and carried garden flower arrangements of pinks and purples.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Decorah High School. She graduated from Luther College in 2012, with a B.A. in biology. She will graduate from Des Moines Podiatry School in 2017.
The groom is a 2009 graduate of Northeast High School. He graduated from Luther College in 2013, with a B.A. in biology. He will graduate from Des Moines Podiatry School in 2017.
The 2 p.m. ceremony was followed by 5 p.m. cocktail hour and a 6:30 dinner at Dousman House, Prairie du Chien, Wis., with 250 guests in attendance. Host and hostess were Gene and Rosie Teslow and Pam Pruett.
The bride’s personal attendant was Allison Shamblin.
Special guests were Irene Allison, grandmother of the bride and Edith Rickertsen, grandmother of the groom.
