Stacy Erickson, Jacob Smith united in marriage

Stacy Marie Erickson and Jacob Anthony Smith were united in marriage Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church in Davenport.
Pastor Erick Swanson, a friend of the groom's family, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Garnita Erickson of Decorah. The groom is the son of Robert and Kimberly Vandevoort of Burlington and Anthony Smith of Wyoming.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father.
Maid of honor was Chelsea (Klocke) Scoggin, a close friend of the couple. Bride's attendants were Stephanie Erickson, sister of the bride; Tara Critchlow, friend of the bride; and Stefanie Smith, sister of the groom. Flowergirl was Sofia Weyer, niece of the groom.
Best man was Zachary Smith, brother of the groom. Groom's attendants were Jamie Moyhers, friend of the couple; Daniel DePardo, friend of the groom; and Riley Ball, groom's future brother-in-law. Ringbearer was William Kruse, the bride's godson.
Special guests were Leonie and Klaus Miethe from Germany.
A wedding reception and dance were held at the Home Ridge Inn and Suites in Bettendorf.
Stacy is a 2004 graduate of Decorah High School and graduated from UNI in 2008 with a degree in early childhood and elementary education. She is currently teaching preschool special education in the Davenport Community School District.
Jacob is a 2004 graduate of Burlington High School and a 2006 graduate of Hamilton Tech with a degree in drafting. He is currently employed at M.A. Ford in Davenport.
Jacob and Stacy live in Davenport.
