Stray slug breaks window of occupied residence

The public is being asked for information relating to a shotgun slug being fired through the picture window of an occupied home approximately five miles Northeast of Decorah late Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. when a 12-gauge shotgun slug was fired from a light-colored truck at deer crossing the roadway, hitting the window on the house located on the 2900 block of 155th Ave.
