Dr. Liang Chee Wee is the newest member of Board of Directors of State Bank and Trust Company.
Wee received his doctorate in business administration from the University of Arizona in Tucson and currently in Tucson and currently services as the President of Northeast Iowa Community College.
Prior to his appointment as president of NICC in October of 2011, he served as interim president and was the provost for the Calmar campus of NICC. Before joining NICC, Wee served Luther Colege for 15 years and held various administrative roles including department chair and associate dean.
"Dr. Wee has impressed me by his positive approach to problem solving which I expect him to bring to the bank's Board of Directors," stated John Rigler, President and CEO of SB&T.
"In addition, NICC's footprint overlaps the bank's and serves many of our communities. The college is a major factor in developing our youth and allowing them to remain in our communities as contributors to its economic growth," said Rigler.
