After almost one year of operating as a home-based business, Beyond the Bar Bakery will open its new location in Decorah, 404 W. Water St., Friday, Oct. 10.
Since opening last October, the support for her business has been “terrific,” according Jennifer Sullivan, who owns the business with her mother, Julie Jevne. Sullivan said the move to Decorah’s “vibrant downtown” is the next step in growing their business.
Beyond the Bar will feature its popular “one bite cakes,” baked goods and drinks. Purchases can be made on an individual basis and special orders of larger quantities will continue to be offered. An “idea book” will be available at the bakery.
Different varieties of bars, cookies and one bite cakes will be featured daily. On Saturdays, Sullivan said she may begin offering muffins. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. The business is closed on Sunday.
