In the role of medical director, Davis will partner with the WMC clinic administrator and chief nursing ifficer to provide leadership for the daily clinic practice, and to assure smooth operations of the clinic and inpatient service.
"Dr. Davis will be a strong asset as Medical Director, supporting our mission and guiding our organization to provide the highest quality care to patients and families in our communities," said Susan Halter, M.D., chief medical officer, WMC.
"I want to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Brian Dougan who served as Medical Director for two years and to Dr. Brad Orvis who took on the interim Medical Director responsibilities over the past several months. Their dedication to our mission is strong and the extra effort and time they contributed was much appreciated," Halter said.
As a general surgeon, Davis performs consultation and surgery for a broad range of medical conditions and body systems including the breast, endocrine system, gastrointestinal tract, colon, liver, pancreas and rectum. Throughout his years as a general surgeon, Davis has developed special interest in hernia repair, gall bladder disease, thyroid masses and breast care.
