The Ossian RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) Committee is holding its first organizational meeting Monday, April 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Ossian Community Center to plan for the RAGBRAI event in July.
Ossian is considered a “pass-through town” with the majority of the riders arriving in Ossian over the noon hour.
The Ossian RAGBRAI Committee is seeking volunteers throughout the community to help with the various events of the day. Many volunteers are necessary to help prepare for the estimated 10,000 people who will be riding through town.
Committee members will be sharing the information they learned at their recent RAGBRAI meeting. Members are inviting all local businesses, churches, student organizations and other not-for profit organizations in Ossian to be a vendor for the RAGBRAI event. All profits from RAGBRAI will be donated back to the participating organizations. Vendors will be regulated through the Ossian RAGBRAI Committee.
