South Winneshiek students have missed seven days of school due to inclement weather, which would make the last day of school Tuesday, June 4.

However, the District administration and South Winneshiek School Board recently decided to use two days that were previously non-school days, as snow make-up days, according to Superintendent Chris Hoover.

Students will be attending school Monday, April 1, and Monday, May 6, as "make-up days." That will move the last day of school for students to Friday, May 31.

"As a school district we understand that some families and staff members may have made previous plans for either, or both, of these dates. This is understandable, and we will be willing to work with you any way that we possibly can," Hoover said

The superintendent encouraged District residents with questions or concerns to contact him.
