Renowned Iowa artist Larry Zach will unveil "Evening Snowfall - Decorah Eagles" during the Fayette County Thundering Toms banquet Saturday, April 13.

To purchase tickets, call Don Holthaus, 563-419-5390, or Rick Kuennen, 563-387-7770.

The Thundering Toms is a local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to upland wildlife habitat conservation in North America.

The Thundering Toms includes members from both Fayette and Winneshiek counties and will have its Hunting Heritage Banquet at Echo Valley Banquet Center in West Union. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the meal provided by U2 BBQ is served at 7 p.m. The cost is $50 per person including a membership and $65 for membership and two meals. There are games for men, women and children.

The event also features a live and silent auction.

The Evening Snowfall - Decorah Eagles canvass print will be available the night of the banquet and is one of 250 in production. Zach will sign the print for the person who takes it home.

It is based on the pair of eagles that built a nest and have been raising their young across the street from the Decorah Fish Hatchery. A live webcam was set up on the nest in 2007. After the site went live streaming in 2011 it went viral with millions of people watching the eaglets hatching and activities of the eagle family 24 hours a day. Zach's website, www.ZachWildlifeArt.com, will have more details about the print in the near future.

Five other Zach prints will be available during the banquet. The Thundering Toms fundraiser includes numerous raffle and auction items such as bows, blinds, grills and more than 26 guns.

Zach will also be autographing a gunstock during the event.
