Helping Services is requesting help from family, friends and neighbors in setting up displays for the annual "Holiday Lights Magical Nights" lighting extravaganza at the Decorah Campground.

Set up is scheduled at the campground Saturday, Nov. 3. Crews will begin at 8:30 a.m., and are typically finished by 12:30 p.m. Organizers say any amount of time to help is welcome.

"There are jobs for everyone's physical abilities, and it's always a fun event to be a part of," said one organizer.

Those interested in helping are asked to RSVP by Oct. 29 for a meal count. Call 563-387-1720.

The public can also share in the event by sponsoring the "Tunnel of Lights" display this year. Remember a loved one at an event celebrating healthy communities and families. Suggested donation is $50 per person, with names to be included in the program. Call 387-1720 before Nov. 13 to be a part of this fundraising opportunity. Online payments also are accepted at www.helpingservices.org.

Holiday Lights Magical Nights drive-thru event opens Thanksgiving night, Nov. 22, 2012, and runs Thursdays through Sundays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The lighting extravaganza is open nightly Dec. 13-25.
