The 27th annual Winneshiek Pheasants Forever banquet is Saturday, April 6, at Jewel's Skate Country on Highway 52 south of Decorah.

The popular event to raise money for WPF (nearly all of which is invested locally) begins at 5 p.m., and a dinner of prime rib or chicken will be served at 6:30 p.m.

As usual, the event will include silent and live auctions, raffles, games and entertainment. A banquet ticket automatically makes you eligible for a top door prize.

Featured this year are a Curt Jones' woodcarving, a Big Green Egg, a $500 meat package, 14-foot flat-bottom John boat, kayak, kitchen cabinet made by Steve Spilde and a scenic photograph from Joyce Meyer.

Banquet prizes include numerous guns from makers such as Browning, Beretta and Remington.

The silent auction will include wildlife prints, other artworks, handcrafted items, clothing and merchandise. Live auction items are wildlife prints, sculptures and one-of-a-kind artworks.

Purchase a $100 packet of raffle tickets prior to the banquet and receive $200 worth of tickets.
