North Winneshiek Superintendent/Principal Tim Dugger will receive a three-year contract extension and a 3.59-percent salary increase for the 2013-2014 school year.  His salary for next year will be $95,750.20.

The North Winneshiek School Board approved the contract during its meeting last week.

The Board also approved 3.59 percent increases for teachers and support staff. The new base salary for teachers is $30,100. The support staff includes secretaries, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, associates and the school nurse.

Guidance

The Board approved a guidance-counselor sharing agreement with the Allamakee School District. North Winneshiek will purchase 40 days of guidance time from them for the 2013-2014 school year.  The state Legislature recently approved supplemental funding for Districts that share specific staffing. An intergovernmental 28E agreement had to be approved by both districts to make the sharing agreement official, according to Dugger.
