The Scholastic Challenge is sponsored by the American Scholastic Achievement League. The league was formed by a committee of middle school teachers who organized and operated a local annual competition for the purpose of challenging their students to demonstrate knowledge and thinking skills, and to recognize and reward excellence.
For the past 12 years, thousands of eighth grade students have been provided with an entertaining and challenging enrichment activity that allows them to demonstrate a variety of problem-solving skills and knowledge in many academic areas.
To achieve this award Berlage scored first in the state of Iowa in an extensive online competition. Contest questions consisted of various academic as well as social and political knowledge areas.
he is the daughter of John and Jodi Enos-Berlage of Ridgeway. Testing was conducted under the guidance of Judy Franzen.
