Daniel Wildman of Cresco isn't the only Winneshiek County Jail inmate facing an attempted murder charge.
Wildman faces three attempted murder charges in connection with an Oct. 16 shooting in Calmar. He is accused of attempting to shoot Korey Numedahl, Andrew Massman and David Cheney with a 12-gauge shotgun. He's also charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon.
He's being held in the Winneshiek County Jail; bond has been set at $225,000. His trial is scheduled for Jan. 9 in Winneshiek County District Court.
Raymond Delagarza, 29, Decorah, was charged recently with attempt to commit murder, domestic abuse assault and first-degree harassment in connection with a July 18 incident.
Delagarza is accused of intentionally attempting to cause the death of a Decorah woman, committing domestic assault with intent to inflict serious injury and harassing and threatening to commit a forcible felony.
He is being held in the Winneshiek County Jail with bond set at $50,000. His trial is scheduled for Jan. 24 in Winneshiek County District Court.
Delagarza also was charged with assault causing serious injury and assault in violation of individual rights for allegedly knocking Abdikani Aden of South Sioux City, Neb. unconscious.
Court records said Delagarza hit Aden again, twice in the head, while he remained unconscious. The assault caused Aden a "protracted loss and impairment of his motor function and his mental capacity," records stated.
The charges involving the assault on Aden were dismissed in September because Aden was not available for trial.
