Lorna M. Wyckoff, 85, of Iowa City, formerly of Waterloo, died at Mercy Hospital Hospice Unit in Iowa City Tuesday, May 7, 2013, from complication of long illness. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Waterloo, daughter of Alfred S. and Edna Hekel Klein. Lorna married Harold V. Wyckoff Sept. 1, 1946. He died Jan. 6, 1974. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1945. Lorna worked at John Deere for several years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Lorna is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Alan) Smart, of Iowa City; son, Andrew (Julie) Wyckoff, of Decorah; grandchildren: Ben (Emily) Smart and Thomas and Kelsey Wyckoff; great-granddaughter Phoebe Smart; and brother, Gordon Hekel, of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Maybeth Knoop.
