Dear Editor:

I have got to hand it to Pastor Bryce for a very thought-provoking religion column last week. I mean, how many times does a Christian realize that, according to the Scriptures, they are a categorically different kind of person?

As Pastor Bryce noted, the Holy Spirit doesn't get a lot of air time in the church. We kinda take Him for granted as we focus on the majestic work of Christ's substitutionary atonement. And yet, it is the presence of the Holy Spirit that defines us as Christians.

Paul says to the Christians in Rome, "You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ." (Romans 8:9)
