It’s spring and that means Northern Lights, the women’s chorale of NE Iowa and SE Minnesota, will present a free concert for the public.
They will perform at Decorah Lutheran Church Sunday, April 24, at 4 p.m. Also appearing will be young voices from the Decorah Youth Choirs: Kammerkoret, Norske Kor and Korsang.
The Northern Lights will present a program of varied genres in memory of Marygrace McCullough-Hommen, who was a valuable and enthusiastic member of their ensemble for many years, serving as its president and grant writer.
Memorial gifts received in her honor have funded the purchase of music that will be shared with audiences for years to come.
For a full day of concert-going, audiences can enjoy the Oneota Valley Community Orchestra perform at Decorah High School at 2 p.m., followed by the Northern Lights at 4 p.m.
