Decorah High School graduates Leah Broderick and Jackie Hoyme have qualified for the 2014 NCAA III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships. 
Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, Ohio will be hosting the national championships May 22-24. The top-eight finishers earn All-American honors.
Broderick, a junior at Luther College, is making her first appearance at the national finale qualifying in the heptathlon. Broderick, who was named the 2014 Iowa Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships MVP for field events, enters the 22-athlete field ranked fifth with a qualifying point total of 4818. Competition begins Thursday, May 22, (100 hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200m) and concludes Friday, May 23 (long jump, javelin, 800m).
Hoyme, a sophomore at Luther College, is making her second consecutive appearance qualifying in the discus with a mark of 145-11. She will compete in the 22-athlete field on Saturday, May 24. She enters the competition ranked 14th.
Also qualifying for the national championships for Luther College are Tricia Serres (So., Platteville, Wis.) in the 800m and 1500m and Anna Lampe (Jr., Bellevue) in the 400 hurdles.
