The Luther men's basketball team will host a semifinal match in the Iowa Athletic Conference basketball tournament this week.

The Norse claimed the No. 1 seed in the tournament by winning the conference title. Luther will host the winner of the Coe/Wartburg game Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Regents Center.

In the first round, No. 3 Dubuque hosts No. 6 Simpson at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, while No. 4 Wartburg hosts No. 5 Coe at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19. In the other semifinal, No. 2 Buena Vista will host the winner of Simpson vs. Dubuque. The conference championship is Saturday, Feb. 23, at the highest seed remaining.

The Luther women's team also made the IIAC tournament. The Norse took the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3-seed Dubuque for a quarterfinal game today, Tuesday. Feb. 19, at 6 p.m. No. 4 Loras will host No. 5 Coe in the other quarterfinal game.

The winner of the Luther/Dubuque game will face No. 2 Wartburg Thursday, Feb. 21, at 7 p.m. in Waverly. In the other semifinal, No. 1 Simpson will host either Coe or Loras at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23. The championship game is Saturday, Feb. 23, at the highest seed still playing.
