The neighborhood series between South Winn and Turkey Valley was finally completed Friday as the Trojans traveled to Calmar for one varsity game.

First contest
The series was started June 16, with Turkey Valley winning the first game 3-1 before the second was postponed due to rain. The Trojans struck for two runs in the first and one in the sixth. South Winn’s only score came in the second.
The Trojans made the most of their three hits. Taylor Novotny had a double while Sarah Busta and Delaney Lensing each had a single.
Fischer was the winning pitcher. In six innings, she gave up an unearned run on six hits.
South Winn had six hits. Courtney Humpal had two of them. Joclyn Bushman had a double while Abby Hageman drove in the lone run.
Brittany Shindelar took the loss, giving up just one earned run on three hits.
