The sun was shining down on Viking Stadium as the Decorah boys track team hosted its final home meet of the 2017 season.
Dubuque Wahlert won the Decorah Invite, securing 181 points. The Vikes were second with 117. South Winn came in fourth with 73 points.

Winners circle
The Vikings had six winners Monday night. The shuttle hurdle relay blew away the competition. Changing up the order, the combination of Jackson Varney, Andrew Magner, Cade Klimesh and Jacob Roher broke the tape in 1:01.71.
Varney picked his second gold medal in the 4x200. Combining with Dawson Meyer, Dawson Holkesvik and Adam Hovden, the quartet took first in 1:35.93.
In his lone event on the night, Andrew Kephart made it count. He won the 1,600-meter run in 4:32.48.
