The Decorah wrestling team is hosting the six-team wrestling tournament Saturday, Jan. 18.
Weigh-ins begin at 8 a.m., with wrestling beginning at 9 a.m. Teams competing are Postville, Western Dubuque, Decorah, Waukon, Turkey Valley and South Winn.
The schedule for the day is: 9-10:30 a.m. - Postville vs. Western Dubuque; Decorah vs. Waukon; Turkey Valley vs. South Winn; 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. - Turkey Valley vs. Western Dubuque; Decorah vs. South Winn; Waukon vs. Postville; 12:30 - 2 p.m. - Western Dubuque vs. South Winn; Decorah vs. Postville; Turkey Valley vs. Waukon; 2 - 3:30 p.m. - Waukon vs. Western Dubuque; Decorah vs. Turkey Valley; South Winn vs. Postville; 3:30 - 5 p.m. - Waukon vs. South Winn; Decorah vs. Western Dubuque; Turkey Valley vs. Postville. If they get ahead of the schedule, they will stay ahead of schedule.
Any wrestler going 5-0 on the day will earn a place on the all-tournament team. In addition, the outstanding wrestler of the day, voted on by the officials, workers and two coaches per team, will be named the Fullhart/Wicks/Natvig award winner. A team champion will also be crowned.
There will be concessions all day, and no coolers are allowed in the gym.
