Four local wrestlers will start the season ranked.

Two Vikings and two Trojans both entered The Predicatments' preseason rankings, released this week.

Decorah moves back to Class 2A this winter after being in 3A last year. West Delaware is ranked No. 1.

Individually, junior Kellan O'Shea is at No. 10 at 132 pounds. He was a 2011 state participant. Ranked No. 1 is Colton McCrystal, a senior from Sargeant Bluff Luton. No. 2 is Kyle Springer (Davenport Assumption) and Cole Erickson (Mediapolis) is No. 3.

Senior Andy Hovden is at No. 3 at 220 pounds. Hovden wrestled at state a year ago. Ranked No. 1 is Adam Reth, a senior from West Delaware. No. 2 is Corbin Blythe, a senior from Williamsburg.

Turkey Valley and South Winn are both in Class 1A. No. 1 in the class is Alburnett. Neither Turkey Valley nor South Winn are ranked.

Trojan senior John Hageman is ranked No. 10 at 132 pounds. Hageman wrestled at state last year. No. 1 is Dylan Rhoads, a senior from Don Bosco. Ranked No. 2 is Blake Marolf (Eddyville Blakesburg), with Ty Gibson of Graettinger Terril at No. 3.

Trojan senior Luke Kuennen is ranked No. 10 at 220 pounds. Ranked No. 1 is Mitch Gambrill, a junior from Clarion-Goldfield. At No. 2 is Logan Melby (Logan Magnolia), with Michael Davidson of Ridge View at No. 3.
