The Deorah boys tennis team hosted two teams in two days.
Monday the Vikings hosted Winona Senior, winning 6-3.
"For coaches, some days are fun, some are FUN and some are WOW, FUN, WOW, to quote a legendary coach. Monday against Winona Sr. was WOW, FUN, WOW," said Coach Reg Laursen. "Since 2008, my first year returning as the DHS boy's tennis coach, through 2012, the closest we have come to Winona Sr. was 2-5."
Singles ended with a 3-3 tie with Ryan Hageman, C.J. Cliff and T.J. Misseldine all getting wins. From there the Vikes swept doubles.
"After last Saturday I thought I couldn't be more proud of a team. They proved me wrong by upping the ante on Monday," said Laursen. "This was a great team win."
In the JV game, Shaun Dehning, Patrick Murphy, Justin Pool, Zach Chapman, McKinley Eide, Carl Iversen, Winter Hawley-Bourcier, Wyatt Anderson, Miles Wilke, Henry Zheng, Jacob Marlow and Jonah Panokow had a 5-12 record.
