Getting on the course for the first time all year, the Decorah girls golf team traveled to Oelwein Tuesday to take on the Huskies in a meet.
The Vikes shot a 250 while Oelwein carded a 204.
"The temperature was a bit cool, but there was no wind so we were happy to get to play. We got out on a golf course for the first time all spring. We played a solid Oelwein team, and we had a few rough holes, which led to a lopsided loss," said Coach Scott Pierce. "We had some decent play, but we were inconsistent at times, as was to be expected with no practice holes under our belts yet. This was Oelwein's third home meet already."
