Both teams, which are ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, took the titles at the meet.
The boys finished with 26 points. Crestwood was second with 44 points.
The girls totaled 28 on the afternoon. Second place was Crestwood with 32 points.
There was no JV race.
Of note, several runners for both the boys and girls were held out of this race in preparation of the tough meet Saturday at the University of Minnesota.
The top finisher in the boys race went to Jon Berland of Crestwood, finishing in 17:43.42. He was the only runner under 18 minutes.
Decorah was led by a three-headed monster of ranked runners. Ethan Pankow, who is ranked No. 21 in Class 3A, was second in 18:16.99. Thomas Knobbe, the No. 8 runner, was third in 18:17.31. No. 5 Kyle Hosting was fourth in 18:17.66.
