Saturday the Turkey Valley wrestling team traveled to Northwood-Kensett to compete in a five-team dual invite.
The Trojans won two of the meets, taking down the host 57-24 and defeating Rockford 51-3. They also lost to Lake Mills 24-44 and to Byron, Minn. 48-21.
"It was a good weekend. Some ups and downs here and there, but we finished the day on a high note with wins over Rockford and Northwood-Kenseth to finish out the day," said Coach Steven Andrukaitis. "John Hageman looked more like what we expect out of him. He took an overtime loss nine days prior and turned it into a second period pin in which he was winning 8-0 at the time. Riley Meirick really likes to go to overtime, with two more overtime matches this weekend. He is 4-0 in overtime matches in the past eight days. Luke Kuennen returned to our lineup this weekend at 220. It is really nice to have him back to give us a solid anchor up top."
The Trojans had several wrestlers post strong results.
