All the pieces are in place for a run to state for the Turkey Valley wrestling team as the Trojans finished second at the sectional meet Saturday.

With the top-two finish, the Trojans advance to the regional team dual meet, which is tonight, Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Sumner-Fred. The Trojans face No. 15 Maquoketa Valley in the first round, which begins at 6 p.m. The winner moves on to face the winner of East Buchanan and No. 5 Sumner-Fredericksburg. The winner of that match goes on to the state dual championship Wednesday, Feb. 13, in Des Moines. It's the second year in a row the Trojans have advanced to the regional team dual tournament.

In addition, eight Trojans have advanced to the district individual meet, which is Saturday, Feb. 9, at Aplington-Parkersburg.

Although South Winn didn't advance in the team tournament, two individual wrestlers will go on to districts at Aplington-Parkersburg.
