Friday night the Decorah wrestling team traveled to New Hampton to compete in a triangular with North Fayette and the host Chickasaws.

Decorah went 1-for-2, defeating North Fayette 49-27 and falling to New Hampton 34-32.

Hans Holkesvik picked up two extra-point victories. He won a 15-0 technical fall over North Fayette's Colton Caldwell. He also won a 14-5 major decision over Kyle Blaylock of North Fayette.

At 182 pounds, Peter Kephart threw New Hampton's Austin Lukes in 55 seconds. He received a forfeit against North Fayette.

Andy Hovden, ranked No. 3 in Class 2A at 220 pounds, continued his win streak. He pinned Chickasaw Michael Vetter in 1:30. He received a forfeit against North Fayette.

Austin Ashbacher (285) picked up two pins in two tries. He threw Class 2A No. 8 Dalton Lape (North Fayette) in 3:10. Against New Hampton he pinned Drew Dirksen in just 44 seconds.
