Monday the Decorah girls soccer team fell at home to Cedar Falls 4-1.
Decorah made 14 shots while Cedar Falls had 18. Olivia Rauk made 14 saves.
The Tigers scored first at 15:06. However, the Vikes quickly answered. Senior Brinn Andersons scored the lone goal off a slotted support ball by Stef Bjerke at 16:57.
Cedar Falls scored twice in the second half.
"Our problem right now is consistency. We need to play solid soccer for 80 minutes, and right now we're playing 10-minute spurts of solid soccer, then five of sloppy soccer. Once we can find that consistency, we'll find success again," said Coach Julie Shockey. "At this point it's a total team effort. We need to finish the opportunities we are given up front and need to defend all the way to the goal."
The Vikes host Gladbrook-Reinbeck today, Thursday, May 9, at 4:30 p.m. Saturday they're at the Waverly-Shell Rock Tournament.
