It was a busy weekend for the Decorah volleyball team (10-16, 3-2 NEIC) as the Vikes competed in a conference match Thursday and at the Western Dubuque Tournament Saturday.

Five-game set

Thursday the Vikes needed all five games to pick up a victory over Crestwood at home, winning 3-2.

The Vikes posted scores of 25-12, 21-25, 18-25, 25-20, 18-16.

"Exciting conference match win and homecoming victory for us," said Coach Dale Wilharm. "We started out really well both offensively and defensively in the first and most of the second set, but Crestwood made a late run at us in the second set, and we came up short. The other three sets went back and forth between the two teams with us taking two out of three for our third conference victory of the season."

As a team the Vikes posted 65 kills, 144 kill attempts, 55 assists, 21 digs, 19 total blocks and served 100-for-106 with nine aces.
