With a break in the weather, the Decorah boys track team hosted the Decorah Invite Monday evening.
It was the Vikings that put up the most points Monday, winning with 127 points. Osage took second with 98.75 points while South Winn was close behind with 97 points. Turkey Valley posted 38.
Turkey Valley top events
Sophomore Nathan Suell easily took the crown in the 400-meter dash. Gong down the back stretch, Suell raced past the competition, winning in 53.39 seconds.
Ryan Izer hung with the leaders in the 3200-meter run, taking third in 10:54.82.
Brian Schmitt came in third in the long jump. He went 19 feet, 1.25 inches, just 0.5 inches short of second.
