The Decorah football team (11-0) survived Monday night's second round match up with Solon (8-3) in Decorah, winning 35-10.

The Vikings move on to face Central Clinton Dewitt (8-3) in the Class 3A quarterfinals, played Friday, Nov. 2. The game will be at 7 p.m. at Decorah.

Decorah fell behind Monday night against Solon, allowing a field goal on the Spartans' opening drive. However, that lead was short lived as the Vikes marched down the field to score on a Holt Johansen 4-yard run to make it 7-3 in the first.

The Vikes put up three touchdowns in the second quarter to put the game away.

Central Clinton Dewitt advanced Monday night by defeating Marion 28-13.
