Going out of conference action for a night, the Decorah girls basketball team (3-7, 1-2 NEIC) fell to Upper Iowa Conference opponent Sumner-Fredericksburg (9-1) 43-31 Saturday night.

Friday night's conference contest with Crestwood was moved to Saturday, Feb. 1.

Saturday night, the Vikings took an early 8-4 lead in the first quarter. At the end of the first, it was 13-12 Decorah.
