Facing two big teams over the weekend, the Decorah girls basketball team (2-9, 1-5 NEIC) fell twice.
Friday the Vikings hosted Waverly-Shell Rock (12-1, 6-0 NEIC). The offense for the Vikings never got going, falling 32-75.
Decorah fell behind early and trailed at the end of the first 10-21. The Go-Hawks built the lead further in the second, going into the halftime break up 43-21. Decorah managed just 11 points in the second half.
Abby Arend had a big night. She scored 20 points for the Vikes. Noreen Gentry added five while Tess Olinger had four.
