In the final meet of the regular season, the Decorah boys swim team traveled to Dubuque Senior Thursday to take on the Rams.

The Vikings lost to the Rams, 124 to 44. In the JV meet, the Vikes lost 106 to 34.

Jerod Heying had a good night in the pool. He won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.98. He won by nearly eight seconds. Heying also finished second in the 50 free, with a time of 24.33 seconds.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Cole Svestka, Mac Faldet, Heying and Dalton Matt combined to post a time of 1:38.80, finishing just behind the first place time of 1:37.39.

Individually taking third were Will Yahr in the 200 free (2:17.98) and the 500 free (6:18.91), Faldet in the 200 IM (2:24.83) and Mitchell Carlson in the 100 backstroke (1:14.52).

The 400-yard freestyle relay of Isaac Sauer, Faldet, J.D. Prentice and Matt took third in 3:48.47 while the 200 medley relay of Heying, Svestka, Sam Poppen and Matt finished in 1:56.26 to take the bronze.
