It was a mixed bag of results for the South Winn wrestling team as the Warriors competed at the Denver-Tripoli Invite Saturday.

"It was a day of up and downs. We lost some matches we were competing in and probably should have won but we also have some guys who are showing improvement. I thought the guys who placed wrestled well and fought hard through their brackets to finish where they did," said Coach Jake Elsbernd. "Chris Brincks looked very good as he made his return to the mat for the first tournament this season.

"We have a lot of wrestling this week, with duals on Tuesday and Thursday as well as the dual tournament in Decorah on Saturday. We will look at some things this week and try to fix a few problem areas that the team has."
