The conference season wrapped up for the South Winn baseball team (24-4, 12-4 UIC) Monday night as the Warriors blew out North Fayette (13-19, 3-11 UIC) in West Union.
The Warriors finished in second place in the league with a 12-4 record. Kee High won the conference at 14-2.
In the first game, the Warriors won 18-3 in five innings. The team had 17 hits, eight extra base hits, three home runs and 15 RBIs.
Five players had a multi-hit game. Jordan Rommes was 4-for-4 with two triples, an RBI and four runs scored. Andre Walz was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs. Trevor Schweinefus was 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and two runs while Ryan Hageman was 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Christian Kleve pounded two doubles and drove in three. Jared Schroeder had the other home run.
Rommes moved to 6-1 on the mound. He allowed five hits and three earned runs. Quinten Taylor threw an inning in relief.
