Things were clicking Tuesday night in the Decorah gym as the Viking volleyball team (9-10, 2-2 NEIC) picked up a big conference win over New Hampton (9-10, 0-3 NEIC).

The Vikes won 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 25-22).

"Good conference win for us. We started out really well both offensively and defensively in the first and most of the second set, but you had a feeling New Hampton wasn't going to quit, which they didn't," said Head Coach Dale Wilharm.

"We had some trouble in the third set with our passing but made a very good run at them down the stretch, just coming up a little short. Set four went back and forth with us making a late push to come away with our second conference match win of the season."

The team had 40 kills, 103 attack attempts, served 76-for-86 with seven aces, produced 18 digs, 35 assists and 21 total blocks.
