The Decorah baseball team played all three phases of the game over a three-game stretch, defeating West Delaware 1-0 and Waverly-Shell Rock 5-3 and 7-0.
For the first time since 2005, the Decorah softball team claimed a share of the Northeast Iowa Conference Title after splitting two games with Charles City. It's the fourth title overall for Decorah.
The Decorah swim team remained undefeated after edging Waukon 659-189.

In a win-or-go-home situation, the South Winn softball team defeated Turkey Valley 11-1 in six innings in Calmar. South Winn moves on to face Sumner-Fred in the regional quarterfinals while Turkey Valley ends the year 14-21.
Luther's Kelsey Kittleson has been nominated for the 2012 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. A graduate of Saint Ansgar High School, Kittleson also was honored as an NCAA Postgraduate Scholar.
The South Winn and Turkey Valley baseball teams split the Upper Iowa Conference title. It was the first of the Tim Hageman/Alex Smith era for South Winn. Turkey Valley's last conference title came in 1986 with the Cedar Wapsie Conference.
July 10 Public Opinion
Hoping to advance to the regional finals for the second year in a row, the Decorah softball team came up just short, falling to Charles City 11-6 in the finals. Decorah ends the year 21-12.
In the first round of postseason play, the South Winn baseball team defeated Denver 9-2. It next faces MFL.
The season came to an end for the South Winn softball team as the Warriors fell to Sumner-Fred 5-2 in the regional quarterfinals. South Winn ends the year 24-11.
