  • Vesterheim launches new brand identity
    Vesterheim, the National Norwegian-American Museum and Folk Art School in Decorah, has announced the launch of its new brand identity and logo developed by Snøhetta, an international design firm headquartered in New York and Oslo, and known for their trans-disciplinary approach, integrating architectural, landscape, interior, graphic, and product design into their projects.

  • Historic Preservation Commission receives $2,000 contribution from Depot Outlet

  • Get ready for winter at Barnetimen (Children’s Hour) with Vesterheim, the National Norwegian-American Museum and Folk Art School. Preschoolers and their caregivers are invited to discover the museum's collection in a new video on Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 10-10:30 a.m. on Vesterheim’s Facebook page and YouTube Channel. The video will be available for later viewing on Vesterheim's YouTube Channel.

    Dr. Kate Elliott, Luther College associate professor of art history, has published an art history book exploring visual representations of the first contact between European settlers and Native Americans. "Framing First Contact: From Catlin to Russell" is available for purchase where books are sold.

  • Luther names Homecoming Music Award honorees
    This 2020 Homecoming season, Luther College continues the tradition of presenting the Weston Noble, Dr. Carlo A. Sperati, Presser Scholar and Hemp Prize awards. Student and alumni award winners are recognized each year during the annual Homecoming Concert, this year in a virtual format.
