    Word Salad, Decorah’s own monthly literary open mic, will have an extra attraction this month.

    On Wednesday, Sept. 18, in addition to the writers who come to read, there also will be a special guest artist, Keith Lesmeister, author of the story collection We Could’ve Been Happy Here (MG Press, 2017). His most recent work appears or will appear in New Stories from the Midwest, Wapsipinicon Almanac, and Driftless Writers Anthology. He teaches writing and literature at Northeast Iowa Community College.
