Mollie B (Mollie Busta Lange) plays a variety of instruments and sings with SqueezeBox, one of the most popular and well known bands specializing in live dance music and entertaining stage shows. Currently based in northwest Ohio, their performances include multiple genres of music including polkas, waltzes, fox-trots, two-steps, big band, swing, square dance, and figure dances.

Though she has been building her career as a musician nearly all her life, Mollie B is most well-known for the national TV program on RFD-TV and FamilyNet: “Mollie B Polka Party.” Mollie B hosts and performs on the show regularly.

Mollie Busta has loved music for as long as she can remember. Music always filled the Busta house between the Jim Busta Band (her father’s band) practices and recording sessions, her sister and Dad playing piano, her brother practicing drums and the records that were played nearly non-stop.

Mollie had the beat in her at a very early age. Her mother always says, “Mollie was dancing the polka before she could walk.” Before Mollie started school, she started plunking notes on the piano. And by time she was eight years old she had enough music knowledge that her Dad put her on stage to chord along on the keyboard with the Jim Busta Band.

For the next 10 years, Mollie played several instruments both in the high school band and her dad’s polka band. She also composed songs for the piano (some compositions were award-winning), arranged songs for her high school choir and band and arranged songs for the Jim Busta Band. In addition, she served as the student-director for her high school band both in rehearsals and in concerts.

In 2007, Mollie relocated to Ohio and joined SqueezeBox formerly known as The Bratwurst Boys.  Mollie took on the position as host and co-producer of the “Mollie B Polka Party” on RFD-TV and Family next in March of 2011. The show had its first taping in June of 2011 and the show aired for the first time July 2, 2011. Since then, the hour-long show has aired at least four times a week, and starting only a few months after it began to air, the show is two different episodes every week.

The “Mollie B Polka Party” airs on RFD-TV Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. EST, Saturday at 10 p.m. EST and Monday at 4 a.m. EST. It also is on FamilyNet at Thursday at 9 a.m. EST and 10 p.m. EST Saturday nights.  Mollie co-produces and hosts the show; and also performs on at least every third show.

Mollie also leads the “Mollie B Christmas Special” at RFD-TV the Theatre in Branson, Mo. every November since 2011. Mollie performs, directs, co-writes, co-produces and hosts this two-hour live performance. The theatre holds 2000 and Mollie’s cast has been up to 31 musicians/dancers/actors. This showed is aired on RFD-TV and FamilyNet, and has been available on DVD and CD.
