The ArtHaus is hosting Pecha Kucha Night at Pulpit Rock Brewery Friday, Feb. 16, from 8 to 10 p.m.

Pecha Kucha, which translates to Chit-Chat, is a Japanese presentation style where 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each, equaling a less than seven-minute presentation (six minutes and 40 seconds to be exact) with an additional question and answer section at the end of every presentation.

These events are fast-paced and fun, and by making use of time restraints and interesting topics Pecha Kucha seeks to entertain the audience while offering a fun challenge to the presenters. The theme of the first Pecha Kucha Night is “Color,” and presenters will be covering the topic in any way that they choose.

The evening will be a fun night of pints, presentations and, of course, color.

Presenters are Jay Raabe, Frje Echeverria, Erik Dutcher, Lauren Bonney, Shannon Durbin and Tex Sordahl Ph.D.
